Are bicyclists in North Carolina required to use lights at night?

Yes. When riding at night, bicycles must use proper light equipment. Lights are required from sunset to sunrise. A front light must be visible from 300 feet ahead, and a rear right or red reflector must be visible from 200 feet. Visibility is very important at all times, for bike safety.

For more information about bicycle safety or if you have been injured in a bicycle accident, we can help.

We would highly recommend this firm ! My husband and I trusted this firm with our three daughters after they were in an accident, and it was a great decision! They made sure we understood every step of the way through the process and got it done! Thank you Daggett Shuler!
