We have a year-round roster of programs and events that benefit the community. From our signature Safe Sober program, encouraging good choices when it comes to making decisions about drugs and alcohol, to the Smiley Triathlon Festival weekend which provides a fun, healthy environment for the community to get active, to our Back-to-School Backpack Program benefiting Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, to our annual holiday food drive for Second Harvest of Northwest North Carolina, we dedicate our time and expertise in ways that truly make a difference.
We support the Triad. The team at Daggett Shuler Law is heavily involved in the Triad Community—and we are always delighted to support our friends and neighbors. With this in mind, we consider it our privilege to help support the many local efforts to do good work in the Piedmont Triad. Our firm strongly believes in setting an example and supporting those working to improve the quality and health of our community.
The Daggett Shuler Safe Sober program encourages the entire Triad to make the right choice when faced with decisions about drugs and alcohol. Co-founded by David Daggett and well into its third decade, this program began in 1991 to encourage teens to stay safe by avoiding drugs and alcohol during Prom season.
Our Back-to-School Backpack Program works to ease the financial burden on many families by providing backpacks filled with school supplies to local elementary school students who otherwise would not have all the materials they need for a successful year in the classroom.
The Smiley Triathlon Festival combines the nationally acclaimed Kids for Kids Triathlon – now in its second decade – with the Smiley Sprint Triathlon for a great weekend of racing. Several hundred participants and over 200 volunteers annually make this weekend one to remember.
Managing Partner and Co-Founder David Daggett is very active in the Triad community, especially when it comes to being involved in events that support great causes. Here are some of the events he is proud to emcee and/or announce:
