Doug is a partner and is the chief negotiator for personal injury cases at Daggett Shuler. He concentrates his practice in serious personal injury liability claims, with particular emphasis in insurance law and alternative dispute resolution. He has specific interest and experience in insurance coverage and insurance policy issues.
Doug has worked in the areas of finance and insurance since 1984, most extensively in the area of automobile insurance coverage and claims. Doug previously worked for State Farm Insurance as a Claim Specialist, giving him unique insight into all aspects of personal injury and other insurance claims. He held a North Carolina adjuster’s license from 1988 – 2008 and holds an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
Doug has received an ‘AV Preeminent’ rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.
