What is Super Lawyers?

Super Lawyers selects distinguished attorneys from numerous practice areas using a patented, multi-phase process. In the first phase, a lawyer’s peers must nominate them to qualify for a place on the list (campaigning and self-nominating are prohibited). Then, Super Lawyers conducts their independent research. As a result, only 5% of lawyers in each state are selected to be on the Super Lawyers list.

David D. Daggett is the managing partner of Daggett Shuler. Since 1985, Mr. Daggett has practiced personal injury law and gained meaningful experience in assisting clients with all types of injury cases, including serious injuries, wrongful death, and insurance claims.  His clients have included professional runners, bicyclists, triathletes, and Ironman™ champions.  He has represented top military officers and Olympic athletes from three continents. Most of all, he has a passion for helping his neighbors of the Triad in their time of need.

Griffis (Griff) C. Shuler is an executive partner of Daggett Shuler. A board-certified Workers’ Compensation Law attorney, Mr. Shuler is dedicated to educating injured workers about their rights to a safe and secure recovery. He has experience representing workers with various injuries and protecting their rights as they face the workers’ compensation claims process.

Aindrea M. Pledger fights for the rights of injured people due to negligence every day in Daggett Shuler’s personal injury and pre-litigation department. Ms. Pledger attended Wake Forest University School of Law after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara. For over a decade, Ms. Pledger has practiced law in the district attorney’s office and a medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury law firm. Ms. Pledger was named a Rising Star in Civil Litigation from 2018 to 2020.

Super Lawyers also named Daggett Shuler Attorney Benjamin P. Winikoff to the Rising Star List in the Employment Law category for 2024. Mr. Winikoff joined Daggett Shuler late last year and is passionate about serving his community, protecting and defending workers’ rights around the Triad. In addition to Employment Law, he has valuable experience in personal injury and civil litigation law to bring to the team, fighting for those injured due to the negligence of others.

Attorney David Daggett co-founded the Safe Sober Program with a mission to raise awareness of the dangers of drug and alcohol use, and prevent injuries and fatalities on prom night. It was originally known as Safe Sober Prom Night, but over the past 30 years, Safe Sober has evolved into a comprehensive initiative dedicated to safeguarding the health and well-being of the entire Triad community. Three decades later, Safe Sober remains actively involved in the Triad community, garnering various accolades, including The North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Award for Public Service, making Daggett Shuler the first law firm to achieve this honor.
