Local Student wins SSPN Design Contest, Receives Scholarship

The attorneys and staff of Daggett Shuler, North Carolina Injury and Disability Law Firm, would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved in helping us celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our Safe Sober Prom Night program! Every year, we are blown away by the overwhelming support of the Triad community, the local high schools, and all of our wonderful partners. This collective effort allows us to share this important program with local high school students so that we can help them make the right decisions about their safety and their future.

Every year, we kick-off SSPN by honoring the winner of the Safe Sober Prom Night T-Shirt Design Contest. This contest encourages students to be creative and get involved in motivating their classmates to make the right decisions about abstaining from drugs and alcohol. Getting out into the community to surprise the student that submitted the winning T-Shirt design and thanking them for their effort and participation is one of the most fun things we get to do all year!

This year, please join us in congratulating designer Noah Zenger, a senior at Career Center and Reagan High School, and the winner of the 25th Safe Sober Prom Night T-Shirt Design Contest!

On Tuesday, March 17th, Daggett Shuler attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler paid a surprise visit to Career Center High School to congratulate Noah on his victory. Prior to our big reveal, Noah had no idea that he had won the contest. Thanks to his wonderful design and hard work, Noah received a $500 scholarship, and had his winning design printed on 15,000 t-shirts that will be distributed at high schools in 10 North Carolina counties this spring.  Noah will also have his name and the name of his high school printed on the back of the T-Shirts.

Safe Sober Prom Night has been using positive peer pressure to help high school students make smart choices for 25 years. David Daggett, a founder of the program, says he now meets students whose parents participated in Safe Sober Prom Night when he helped start it in 1991. Daggett Shuler is proud to be bringing the Safe Sober message to a whole new generation of teenagers.

The Safe Sober Prom Night program, presented by Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law, is believed to be the largest and longest running privately funded initiative of its type in the United States.

Many thanks to everyone that supported SSPN and our T-Shirt design contest this year, and keep an eye out for these beautiful t-shirts in schools and communities around the Triad this spring and summer!
