Types of Injuries You Can Claim in Workers’ Compensation

October 24th, 2013 Uncategorized

Workers compensation in North Carolina covers injuries by accident, or in some limited cases like back injuries, injuries that come from what’s called a specific traumatic event. The problem is injury by accident and specific traumatic event are very precise legal terms that can get very complicated. To the person who’s not educated as to these terms, they can make critical mistakes in dealing with the insurance company or the employer right from the beginning, if they don’t have an understanding of what they’re talking about.

That’s why consulting with an experienced attorney is so important in workers compensation cases. In addition, there’s things such as repetitive trauma injuries; that’d be like carpal tunnel syndrome, or exposure to hazardous chemicals. Those are really specialty areas of workers compensation that takes a lot of experience and expertise to truly handle.

The employees at Daggett Shuler took care of everything legal that had to do with my accident for me. They treated me with kindness and sincerity while making it possible for me to focus purely on recovering. I am beyond grateful for their help and would highly recommend them.
