Every year, the Piedmont Down Syndrome Support Network (PDSSN) hosts their annual Buddy Walk. The Buddy Walk began in 1995 and has promoted tolerance, awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome for more than two decades. The Buddy Walk also raises funds to help support the wonderful advocacy and awareness efforts of the PDSSN.
October is National Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Down syndrome is a genetic condition that impacts approximately 400,000 Americans. People affected by Down syndrome are important, dynamic members of every community, and during Down Syndrome Awareness Month it is important to show our support and our love for every person and family impacted by this condition.
This year’s PDSSN Buddy Walk takes place this weekend, and the attorneys and staff of Daggett Shuler Law will be there to join in the fun! The details of this weekend’s events are as follows:
