On April 27^th, attorney partner David Daggett of Daggett Shuler Law will announce the 7^th annual Making a Difference MAD Dash 5K/Fun Run. This fundraising event benefits the Surry County Schools (SCS) Educational Foundation. Registration and event information for this year’s race is available here.

The event is scheduled to take place at Surry Central High School in Dobson at 8:00am. A Fun Run for children under 12 will follow at 9:00am. The race allows all participants and supporters to make a difference in the lives of students in Surry County Schools.

Race Information

Early packet pickup for the MAD Dash 5K/Fun Run is scheduled for April 26^th at the Surry County Schools Technology Building on North Main Street in Dobson. Race-day registration and packet pickup will begin at 6:45am on April 27^th at Surry Community College on College Circle.

Awards will be given to the top three men and women overall, as well as the top three men and women in various age categories. Awards for Team Participation and Fastest Team will be presented to teams of five or more as part of the MAD Dash Corporate Team Challenge.

About the SCS Educational Foundation

The Surry County Schools Educational Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization created by local community leaders who believe that investing in education positively impacts Surry County’s future economy. The Foundation’s goal is to improve the educational level within Surry County and enhance the county’s ability to further education for competition in the global market.
