About PWWS
The Professional Women of Winston-Salem (PWWS) is an energetic organization inclusive of women in all disciplines. Founded in 1990 by Janice Kerley and Karen Bunch, PWWS is an organization geared toward female professionals in the Winston-Salem area.
The vision of PWWS is to create an environment where women learn to become their best selves, grow professionally to reach and exceed goals, and build a network of lasting relationships. The group provides valuable personal and business resources to a community of positive, supportive women—inspiring and empowering the professional women of Winston-Salem. Since 2000, PWWS has awarded yearly scholarships to help single, employed mothers complete college degrees.
The group provides an inviting place for all women looking to grow their network and centers of influence in the Winston-Salem community. The first formal PWWS meeting was held in November 1990 at the Piedmont Club. They now meet the second Wednesday of each month in the Flow Club at BB&T Ballpark.
