Griff Shuler explained the severity of motorcycle crashes, stating, “You are 35 times more likely to die in a motorcycle accident than a car accident. It is much more dangerous to ride a motorcycle versus riding in a car.”

There are many ways to help prevent a motorcycle accident from occurring, as well as ways to protect yourself from a severe injury. Bill explains multiple ways including:

Proper Gear – Wearing a DOT approved biker helmet, long sleeved shirt or light jacket can help keep you protected in the event of a crash or fall. Never ride in shorts!
Proper Training – Take a proper motorcycle riding training course and making sure all of your certifications are up to date.
Register Your Bike With The State – Make sure that your bike registration and insurance are up to date and valid. In case of an accident or injury, these two items must be kept current for your own protection.
