Serving North Carolina Beyond the Practice of Law
The North Carolina Supplemental Retirement Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing the state’s supplemental retirement savings plans for public employees. This nine-member board provides governance and strategic oversight for programs that help thousands of state and local government employees prepare for a financially secure retirement.
The board’s work plays an important role in ensuring these retirement plans remain financially sound, responsibly managed, and responsive to the evolving needs of participants.
“I am deeply honored to be appointed by Governor Stein to serve on the Supplemental Retirement Board of Trustees,” David said. “This board has an important responsibility to North Carolina employees, and I look forward to working alongside my fellow trustees to help safeguard and strengthen these retirement programs for the benefit of all participants across our state.”

Whether representing injured workers, accident victims, or individuals seeking Social Security Disability benefits, his focus has always been on helping people move forward confidently and with dignity.
That same commitment to advocacy, thoughtful leadership, and responsible decision-making makes this appointment especially meaningful. The Supplemental Retirement Board helps shape policies that affect the long-term financial well-being of thousands of North Carolina public employees and retirees.
