Attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law will appear on Triad Today with host Jim Longworth to discuss the upcoming Piedmont Land Conservatory (PLC) Farm Run 5K, to be held on December 15th. Joining David and Griff will be a representative for the PLC. The Triad Today program airs on WXLV ABC45 and WMYV My48 on Saturday, December 14th, and Sunday, December 15th.
The mission of the PLC is as follows: “The Piedmont Land Conservancy permanently protects important lands to conserve our region’s rivers and streams, natural and scenic areas, wildlife habitat and farmland that make the Piedmont a healthy and vibrant place to live, work and visit for present and future generations.” In early 2018, an agreement was made which would allow the PLC to buy the development rights of 92 of the 213 acres that make up what many know as “The Farm”– Crossnore School & Children’s Home along Reynolda Road. The agreement will protect the land from development by what’s known as a conservation easement. Crossnore will still own the land, but the agreement will keep intact a tract of land that has generated memories for scores of children for more than a century.
The Farm Run 5K, sponsored in part by Daggett Shuler and their Safe Sober Prom Night program, will be announced by David. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to support the PLC’s ongoing expenses. For more information about the race, or to register, please visit this site.
