David Daggett and Griff Shuler Talk Big Brothers Big Sisters on Triad Today

Triad Today Roundtable Guests 12-2018

On Saturday, December 15th, attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law visited Jim Longworth of Triad Today to discuss Big Brothers Big Sisters Services and the work they do in our community. Triad Today airs locally on WXLV ABC45 and WMYV My48. A video clip of the segment appears below.

Shawan Gabriel, the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Services of North Carolina, joined David and Griff to discuss the organization’s work in the Triad community. Mr. Gabriel previously served as director of the Winston Lake Family YMCA.

According to Mr. Gabriel, Big Brothers Big Sisters provides caring adult mentorship in the lives of children in the Triad. He announced Big Brothers Big Sisters will be opening a new facility funded by generous donors within the local community to serve as a mentoring center. He states the new facility will help the organization usher in a new era of mentorship and service.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters

David has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 36 years, and remains in contact with his Little Brother to this day. Griff noted Big Brothers Big Sisters helps build leadership skills for both the adults and the children who participate in the program. Shawan added that the organization always needs willing volunteers who are capable of providing a good, positive impact on the lives of young people.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Services helps children realize their potential and build their futures, nurtures children, and strengthens communities. Since 1977, Big Brothers Big Sisters Services of North Carolina has served over 20,000 children in Forsyth and Davie counties. Today, more than 700 children are enrolled in their community-based programs.
