Daggett Shuler Team Visits Triad Today to Promote St. Peter’s We Care 5K Run/Walk for Hunger

Daggett Shuler at Triad Today

On October 20th, David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law appeared on Triad Today with host Jim Longworth to promote the second-annual St. Peter’s We Care 5K Run/Walk for Hunger. Their guest was Denise Daniel of St. Peter’s Church and World Outreach Center, who serves as Race Director for the We Care 5K. Watch the segment:

The event, scheduled for Saturday, November 17th at 8:00am, is a fundraiser for the We Care House and Gardens, an outreach ministry of  St. Peter’s Church and World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem. The We Care 5K starts on the Greenway at the foot of Old Salem, near the YWCA. Participants can register for the event at Jones Racing Company. Our own David Daggett is scheduled to emcee. The event is open to all. Church members, guests, and community members can help in the fight against hunger by:

  • Registering for the race
  • Becoming a sponsor
  • Volunteering for activities

The We Care 5K Run/Walk for Hunger directly benefits St. Peter’s We Care House. This 17-year-old, self-sustaining outreach program gives back to the community—supplying food and clothing to those in need. In addition, the program’s We Care Garden also grows seasonal produce for distribution through We Care House.

About St. Peter’s

St. Peter’s Church and World Outreach Center was founded in Winston-Salem in 1928 with 25 members, and has since expanded to a beautiful 75-acre campus. Under the leadership of Bishop Dr. James C. Hash, Sr., St. Peter’s “provides the foundation for individuals to launch into the world to reach the lost, the hurting, the captive, the sick, and the brokenhearted.”
