Daggett Shuler 2019 Backpack Program a Success!

Moore Elementary

On August 21st, Attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler, along with members of the Winston-Salem Police Department, delivered 250 backpacks filled with school supplies to local schools. Five schools received 50 backpacks each: Brunson Elementary, Bolton Elementary, Moore Elementary, South Fork Elementary, and Whitaker Elementary. Each school’s administrators then distributed the bags to students in need.

Bolton Elementary

Each backpack included pencils, crayons, scissors, glue, a bookmark, a two-pocket folder, a notebook, and paper. By supplying these items to students, Daggett Shuler is helping to ensure that the kids get their academic year started off on the right foot. Given that back-to-school supplies and necessities can run into the hundreds of dollars, receiving much-needed supplies can be an enormous help to less fortunate families.

Brunson Elementary

The beginning of the school year is an incredibly important time for children, and equal footing is critical to a student’s success. By providing these supplies, Daggett Shuler is working to ease inequality in the Triad community. Successful and positive school experiences give these kids an opportunity to become positive members of their communities when they grow up.
