Beat the Heat Virtual 5K on Triad Today

On Saturday, July 4^th, attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law appeared on Triad Today with special guest Er Ralston, Race Director for the upcoming Beat the Heat 5K and Vice-President of the Twin City Track Club.  Watch the segment:

Mr. Ralson spoke about the Beat the Heat 5K, which is going virtual this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. That means that registrants can run their 5k when it is convenient any time between July 15^th and July 18^th, and then report their times. Registration is $20 – a reduced fee this year – and registration can be completed here.

The race is a perennial Triad mid-summer event, with around 1,000 participants expected. Now in its 31^st year, the race raises funds for local health and fitness charities. This year’s charity partners are Ainsley’s Angels and Mission: Feet First. In the last few years, over $20,000 has been raised for charity.

The theme of the race is “healthy fun for everyone,” and there is a 1-mile event as well. This event is great for families and kids. Registration for this event is just $5.
