North Carolina Attorney and Community Leader David Daggett Receives National Award
Focusing on the needs of community, when there is barely enough time to manage personal responsibilities such as family, work and friends, is difficult. These days, it takes a truly special individual to be able to manage both their personal obligations as well as focus on the well-being and care of those around them. In the North Carolina Piedmont Triad, local resident, attorney and community leader David Daggett has just been honored with a national 2015 Trial Lawyers Care Award for his outstanding commitment to public service.
The American Association for Justice has named David Daggett, co-founder and managing partner of Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law in Winston-Salem North Carolina, a recipient of the 2015 Trial Lawyers Care Award.
The American Association of Justice (AAJ) is the largest association of trial lawyers in the world, and every year the organization recognizes those trial lawyers who perform extraordinary volunteer and charitable activities in their communities. The 2015 Trial Lawyers Care Award presented to David Daggett honors a trial lawyer who truly demonstrates his enduring care and faith in the people of his community on a daily basis.
One of the greatest contributing factors to David’s recognition for this award is his longstanding commitment to Safe Sober Prom Night, a non-profit organization he cofounded in 1991. Using a combination of motivational speakers, presentations and positive peer pressure, over 500,000 of North Carolina’s students have pledged to “Do It Right!” on prom night and abstain from using drugs or alcohol.
The American Association of Justice, Trial Lawyers Care Award “recognizes the efforts of members that serve the community and foster positive relationships with the public through volunteer activities. Their outstanding efforts demonstrate how trial lawyers care.” This description of the award could not be more appropriate when describing the efforts of local attorney David Daggett.
