On Saturday, May 20th, attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law appeared on Triad Today. Their guest was Richard Williams of Black Business Ink magazine. Watch the segment to learn about this year’s exciting event:
Black Business Ink’s mission is to “move and inspire our readers through the stories of Black entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community influencers who are impacting the present and shaping the future.” They do so by highlighting stories from Black businesspersons, publishing educational and meaningful content, and building relationships with its readers. This year is the 20th anniversary of the publication and will be celebrating with a signature event.
The 20th Awards Gala will feature Black Business Ink’s ‘Power 100,’ a list of the most influential people and non-profit organizations across North Carolina. Nominations were opened last fall on the website and social media. Of course, narrowing down the extensive list of nominees was difficult, and there were many more qualified nominees than spaces on the list.
The event will be held at the Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in Greensboro on June 8th and is open to the public. Tickets are still available here.
The honorees include judges, ministers, attorneys, and doctors among others. These inspirational people have made enormous impacts not just on the state level, but also within their communities, bringing people together. Black Business Ink aims to amplify and promote their efforts through these awards.
