3-2-1 Deacon Dash to Benefit DSAGWS

David-Daggett-Griff-Shuler-321-Deacon-Dash

On Saturday, February 18th, attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law appeared on Triad Today to discuss the upcoming 3-2-1 Deacon Dash event, which benefits the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem. Watch the segment to learn more about this great event:

The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem (DSAGWS) provides support, education, and information to families with individuals with Down syndrome. By doing this, they help ensure that individuals with Down syndrome get opportunities to pursue fulfilling lives and feel valued and included.

One of the DSAGWS’s major annual events is the 3-2-1 Deacon Dash, taking place this year on March 11th at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. The Fun Run begins at 9 a.m., and the 5K (with a little added distance for a total of 3.21 miles) starts at 9:30. Why 3.21 miles? It is because Down syndrome is caused by three copies of the 21st chromosome, hence 3-2-1.

This race celebrates the Down syndrome community, and it is open to the entire Triad community. Anyone can participate; you don’t need to be an athlete. If you’d like to join in the fun, you can register here.

Attorney David Daggett is especially fond of this event as he has been a supporter of the DSAGWS and the Down Syndrome community for many years. He has emceed the 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for a number of years and is proud to be doing so again this year. He encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the positive atmosphere.

Later in the episode, David also participated in the Roundtable discussion with Ogi Overman and Keith Grandberry. They talked about current news items and political issues.
