On Sunday, October 28th, David Daggett of Daggett Shuler Law will announce the second annual SwimRun NC at Hanging Rock. Held amid the stunning scenery of Hanging Rock, this endurance race consists of 14 miles of running and three kilometers of swimming—broken into 11 running segments and nine swims.
Conceived by two passionate, local endurance athletes—Jan Kriska and Jeff Beckelhimer—SwimRun NC offers fit, experienced endurance athletes an opportunity to experience the magic of North Carolina’s beautiful Hanging Rock State Park and the adjacent Dan River.
The Green Heron Ale House will serve as the event’s headquarters. On Saturday, October 27th, participant can pick up their race packages and attend the mandatory race meeting. On Sunday, October 28th, the location also hosts the race start and closing award ceremony.
