Guilford County EMS Paramedic Academy on Triad Today with David Daggett and Griff Shuler

(L-R) Griff Shuler, Kerry Cross, David Daggett, Jim Longworth

Attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler of Daggett Shuler Law will appear on Triad Today with host Jim Longworth to discuss the Guilford County EMS Paramedic Academy. Joining David and Griff will be a representative from the Paramedic Academy, Kerry Cross. The Triad Today program airs on WXLV ABC45 and WMYV My48 on Saturday, January 25th, and Sunday, January 26th.

Founded in 2000, the Guilford County EMS (GCEMS) Paramedic Academy serves to train students already certified at the EMT-Basic level to become NC-certified Paramedics. The 9-month, 1200-hour curriculum includes class time, clinical hours, and clinical exposure in area hospitals. The students are considered employees of the GCEMS while enrolled in the Academy, and are expected to remain with the GCEMS for two years upon successful completion of the course.

David Daggett has presented to the Academy each January for the past several years, discussing aspects of medical law and other topics. He continues to be extremely impressed with the caliber of the students as well as the exemplary instruction that they receive.

In conjunction with the medical services that the GCEMS provides to Guilford County, they are also committed to doing work that benefits the community. From visiting schools to teaching students about health and what to do in emergency situations, to participating in high school Career Days, the members of the Guilford County EMS are dedicated to helping others and doing their best to promote health and safety awareness.
