This month, the attorneys of Daggett Shuler Law are speaking with Triad Today host Jim Longworth about the importance of employers in North Carolina providing Workers’ Compensation insurance for their employees.

Although North Carolina law requires any company with three or more employees to provide full workers’ compensation coverage, some employers either do not carry the proper insurance, or have let their policy lapse without realizing.

According to a recent article in The News & Observer, last year the N.C. Industrial Commission investigated approximately 2,000 cases where employers may lack proper workers’ compensation coverage. It is very important for employees to know that their employer has the proper coverage in the event of a workplace accident.
