Although North Carolina law requires any company with three or more employees to provide full workers’ compensation coverage, some employers either do not carry the proper insurance, or have let their policy lapse without realizing.
According to a recent article in The News & Observer, last year the N.C. Industrial Commission investigated approximately 2,000 cases where employers may lack proper workers’ compensation coverage.
