Back to School Bus Safety

Earlier this year the Winston-Salem Journal published a series of articles about school bus safety in Forsyth County and around the triad. In the article, a study conducted by NC Stat’s Institute for Transportation Research and Education is quoted as determining that as many as 14,000 cars pass stopped school buses in Forsyth County alone each year!

That number is simply unacceptable. As a community we need to make sure that citizens of Forsyth county and the Triad at large are aware of the laws that govern stopped school buses.

Thankfully, WFMY News 2 did a report and posted an accompanying story online about the laws for drivers when they encounter a stopped school bus. Their accompanying pictures of who stops when are incredibly helpful in making sense of the laws.

Please share these articles with those you know – it could make the difference in a child’s life in our community.

I was in a horrific automobile accident in 2021. While in the hospital a friend of mine reached out to Daggett Shuler without my knowledge, fortunately Attorney Mike Clark took my case. Ge fought so hard for me! He drove the road I was on himself, he more than answered every question I had, he was so concerned and caring not only for me but for my family as well. Without a doubt hands down I would refer anyone to him. He will fight for you and stand up for you!
