David Daggett of Daggett Shuler Law Firm returned to his Alma Mater, Wake Forest University, to give a lecture to students about the First Amendment as it applies to Broadcast Media.
He touched on several important topics during the presentation, including what language constitutes libel and slander, as well as how the First Amendment applies to public figures, public officials and regular citizens. He also explained issues related to invasion of privacy, image rights, misappropriation of name or likeness, and right to publicity.
