Watch Sydney Beason, Student Leader of the TOPSoccer Program and Attorneys David Daggett and Griff Shuler on Triad Today This Weekend!

This weekend, David Daggett, Griff Shuler and Sydney Beason, one of the student leaders of the TOPSoccer program, will appear on the Triad Today show to discuss the TOPSoccer program.

Twin City Soccer, the Triad’s premier competitive, travel, club soccer program, manages TOPSoccer, utilizing a Student Leadership Board to organize all aspects of the program. TOPSoccer is a community based organization helping players between the ages of 5 to 21, with physical and/or mental disabilities, get involved and participate in the game of soccer.

Taking place at Forsyth Country Day School each spring and fall, TOPSoccer pairs one athlete with one or more TOPSoccer Buddy – a Twin City Soccer Player, who helps introduce the TOPSoccer athletes to games and activities while helping them accomplish their goals in a fun and supportive environment.

TOPSoccer holds one hour sessions each week for eight weeks in both the fall and the spring. A typical session includes a group stretch, playing soccer, as well as other fun activities, like “duck, duck, goose”, tag or dancing. Designed to get the athletes moving, engaged, and playing, TOPSoccer is perfect for special needs kids in search of increased courage and self-esteem. This program is also great for Twin City Soccer players looking to engage with the local community, and to be leaders among their peers.
