Labor Day Weekend Safety Tips!

During this Labor Day weekend, the National Safety Council estimates that 421 deaths will occur and that there will be an additional 48,400 injuries that require medical attention.

While these statistics may seem daunting, there are ways to help prevent accidents and injury to you or your loved ones. Here are some safety tips we recommend to make it a safe and enjoyable weekend for all!

  • Buckle up: NSC estimates that about 163 lives may be saved this Labor Day weekend for those wearing seat belts
  • NEVER drive while intoxicated: driving while intoxicated is never a good idea, especially not when there is an influx of cars on the road due to a holiday weekend
  • Follow safety precautions when participating in water activities: this includes wearing a lifejacket, focusing on the task ahead of you such as driving a boat, jet skiing, or water skiing, and making other boaters aware of your presence by wearing bright clothing while in the water or waving your arms.

While Labor Day can be a fun, relaxing way to wrap up the summer, it is also one of the most dangerous holidays of the year. Enjoy this time with family and friends, but remember to follow our recommended safety tips!

Wishing you a happy and healthy Labor Day, from your friends at Daggett Shuler Law.

Daggett Shuler Law – You Can Depend on Us

The attorneys at Daggett Shuler helped me with three different cases when I was injured on the job. In working with me on my worker’s compensation, personal injury and disability claims, they always kept me informed along the way with each claim. The paralegals at the firm were also extremely helpful and were always available to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend Daggett Shuler, as they were successful in winning all three of my cases.
